In 2005, a college roommate introduced him to poker. It was during that time that he studied players at home games. It wasn’t long before he was taking their money.
Early on, Chicotsky realized he had knack for the game and appreciated the lifestyle. Poker could afford him the ability to set his own schedule, be his own boss, travel often, and play for a living.
Chicotsky began his career as a cash game player. “I respect players that make a living playing cash games,” he admits. “But, let’s just say, I caught the tournament bug. Tournaments are easier and less of a grind. They give you more bang for your buck.”
Chicotsky has played more than 10,000 online tournaments. In 2008 he was voted Bluff Magazine’s Online Player of the Year. His most memorable moment was scoring his first five-figures and paying off all of his credit cards. Aside from his online successes, Chicotsky has more than $250,000 in live tournament winnings.
He now uses his experience to teach up and coming poker players through his training program, and is most proud of being able to teach large numbers of people how to effectively play poker in a short period of time.”
“I joined Team Victory because the players involved are good people. Being around this group of guys has been an unbelievably uplifting experience. They’re the kind of people I want to back, and have my back.” Chicotsky adds, “I see big things coming over the horizon. I'm humbled and honored to be included with such a great group.”
